mental health

How do you know if the problems you are having are because you are black or because you are an American? Or is there a difference? Well an upcoming book may explain such questions and many more. The book entitled No Secrets No Lies: How Black Families Can Heal From Sexual Abuse by Robin D. Stone, addresses such issues. In reading the review and excerpts from the book it raised a lot of key points that black people especially black men should analyze. One that particularly stood out with me was the fact that when it comes to serious mental health issues like molestation and family abuse, most health professionals are mostly white. How can black people be treated for the emotional problems if the person treating them has no clue about the day to day issues that are isolated within a singular ethnic group. The notion itself would seem to be a contradiction in terms.

In fully assessing yourself as an African-American, it would be really wise to always consider your sources in picking and choosing the outlets and people that are to assist you in your day to day activities and problems. It would also behoove even the most naive black person to chart and scrutinize which aspect of his/her life is a result of hundreds of years of slavery and which aspects are a result of modern day living. Sophia Stewart: A Right To Be Angry

For those of you that don't know, there is a lot of theft going around in Hollywood. You know the usual stealing scripts, screenplay and ideas. However, this theft that took place may go down as one of the most coldest and heartless thefts ever. If you haven't heard of the name SOPHIA STEWART, then get acquainted with it. And if you are a black woman then you better find out all you can about this woman. There was a movie that came out about 5 years ago. I believe it was called The Matrix. This little movie went on to become one of the greatest films ever to come out of HOLLYWOOD. This shouldn't be too much of a shock because it was written by a BLACK WOMAN. Yep, all the high flying moves and all philosophical and religious references, all from the mind of a black woman. Now I know what you are thinking, this is non-sense. Well the first place I heard about it was here. If you think about a few things then this shocking revelation won't be so shocking. First script and idea stealing in Hollywood isn't so new. It has been going on for years. It has been said that the movie Backdraft as well as The Fast and the Furious was stolen as well. Second, ever wonder why the wachowski brothers(the so called creators of the matrix trilogy) has rarely been seen in interviews. To my knowledge they weren't seen interviewed on Jay Leno or the David Letterman show. As well as Joel Silver the producer of the movie.

Well according to Sohphia Stewart, the Wachowski Brothers were required to sign a disclosure form forbidding them to do interviews and any other public displays talking about the matrix. Ms. Stewart claims the Wachowski Brothers stole her ideas from a book/script that she had sent to the Wachowski Brothers in response to an ad that the two brothers placed looking for various movie and cinema ideas. Ms. Stewart responded to the ad and sent them a copy of her work entitled the The Third Eye. Time passed and Ms. Stewart never heard from the brothers. About a decade later Sophia Stewart watches the new film called The Matrix and the movie bares an uncanny resemblance to her work. The most notable being the over whelming appearances of African-American actors filling in the roles of The Matrix. Everyone from Morpheus to the Oracle were black actors coincidentally just like the characters in her book. If you look further you can even account for Keanu Reeves being a person of color if you wish to include his "Hawaiian" background. Not to mention that Will Smith was supposed to play the role of Neo but later turned it down. Also, the movie is designed around the concept of two worlds. One world reflecting life as it is and another reflecting life as the illusion. Ms. Stewart says that this concept is lifted almost %100 from her book. She says her book as well as the movie was designed to reflect the WOMB OF THE BLACK WOMAN. This "WOMB" symbolizing the fact that the black woman is the mother of planet earth and the life giver of all human beings on planet earth. To further substantiate her claims, she says that the movie reflects a 1980's feel with the techno music, remnants of disco and the fact that the main characters fighting the bad guys depended on pay phones to travel in and out of the matrix. She says the reason for this is that she first wrote the book in the early '80's and the fact that the movie came out so late in the '90's shows that the idea was not an original one but one that took time to properly steal and develop over time.

Also, for those of you that felt that the first Matrix was the best one, well that may be because the first one was stolen according to Ms. Stewart and the last two(Reloaded and Revolutions) were not from any of her works. Could it be that Warner Brothers and the Wachowski Brothers fell short in trying to be original after stealing the first Matrix? It looks like these BROTHERS don't have the american publics best interest when it comes to integrity and quality ORIGINAL FILMS. Sophia Stewart stay strong in your 5 Billion dollar FEDERAL LAWSUIT. We hope you stay strong and get every dime you ask for and deserve. I for one am not demanding a boycott of ALL Warner Brother films, but I do suggest the next time a film with these guys name on it is released we should never expect these BROTHERS TO WARN US ABOUT ANYTHING HONEST AND TRUTHFUL. It is also for this reason that Sophia Stewart if she is angry then SHE HAS A RIGHT TO BE ANGRY and any support you need in spreading the truth about the numerous Hollywood Crooks, then you know you have voices that will speak where you cannot.

My Very Special Someone

I dedicate this to my mate of two years. I wish I can say your name but I know how much you love privacy so I will leave it anonymous. I am still not sure why I am writing this under angry black women but I don't care. I think about you a lot because each day I realize how much I love you and care about you. Very few women would have the patience and enthusiasm to support their man like the way you do. To support their mans ideas and show the same amount of passion that I show for my ideas. You are special and you are strong. Sometimes I think about our moments and I have to admit that I come close to being in tears. However I don't cry because you know I have a big ego and LOTS OF PRIDE. You are a big part of my motivation. You are the reason I have a restored faith in women after I have been hurt and disappointed. You always show me on a daily basis that there are good women out there. Sometimes I even have to eat my words about women because when I talk my trash, you are a reminder that there are faithful and virtues women scattered everywhere waiting and willing to reflect light. Once again I love you. Your support and belief in me has created a special place in my heart forever. I hope we stay together until our physical beings transcend. In the event that we do split up before we pass, I want you to know that I will always be in your corner. More then a mate you have a friend. You have a life partner and protector. Your faith and optimism has advance my progress and added joy in my life way more then any partner that I have ever had.

I love our arguments. We argue everyday. I know you don't like that but I love it. Our arguments reflect the level of honesty that we have in our relationship. And since we go at it everyday, I would have to say that we are pretty honest with each other. I am still a man and their are some things that I know I do that offends you. And for those things I am sorry, but don't blame me blame nature. It is because of you I work very hard not to stare and drool over all the women that I see in my daily life. You are tolerant of my wandering eye and you know that I have a certain taste for the ladies. Through all of that you still laugh with me and still continue to keep your eyes on the prize. There is only so many ways I can say that you are special and that I LOVE YOU. So I won't waste any more words and fill up this entry with filler sentiments. In summation your support and belief in me and my innovations will definitely prove fruitful as the days go on. I will make us live happier and more prosperous then you can ever dream of. Due to your loyalty and amazing faith, I will always lift you up and help you with every piece of my being with any dreams or goals that you want to accomplish. Once again you are my rock and I LOVE YOU and want you by my side. PEACE!

Words from a VERY SPECIAL BLACK WOMAN!

The following entry is from the words of a loving mother and a very caring woman that has contributed many ideas to the few works that this author has written. Here are her thoughts and feelings unedited and left exactly as it was sent to me. ENJOY!

Why are women angry?
People call women emotional. Maybe because we feel so deeply is the reason we are so angry at black men right now. Women have been forced to become hard. By necessity we have had to make our own way. Is that the blackman fault? Where was my prince in shining armor when I needed him?. That fairy tale life was just that , a fairy tale. There dont seem to be enough prince charmings these days to go around, and we are tired of kissing all those frogs. We are looking for men that have already gotten there act together, Right ladies?. Men that are through with the game playing and are ready to come straight. Sure we can survive by ourselves, but man and woman are meant to be together to be a part of each other. AT least that is what our desires tell us if we are not in denial.
It use to be women didnot have to deal with all the stress of the world and the stresses at home too. women have been forced to change because we want to be a deciding force in this world. we want to make decision about what is right for us. as a result we dont get enough rest, enough nuturing, or peace. Stress makes you feel tired, weighed down and angry.
also we have not had a lot of time to devote to the mechanics of relationships and men. Most women are too busy trying to survive and raise their children to become good productive citizens most of the time with not much help from thier fathers. Because some men haven't gotten it yet, that their presence or absence in thier children lives has an influence for good or bad.
When we meet a man he should be able to contribute and make things better that we think is what his first role of leadership should be. But is that the way it works out. NO, he wants us to follow his lead, his ideas and his dreams. Well first what is your track record 0 and 0, Give me a break. Let's face it the world is a play ground for men and we are not playing anymore. Am I angry? Yes Iam angry and damn tired of it. So Mister before you step to me you had better come correct or not come at all or you WILL get your feelings hurt. SISTA is on a mission.

Words from the author!

In writing angry black women I feel that I have to walk a very delicate line. This is a very sensitive subject for black women. It is for this reason that I decided to take my time and write on this subject as precise and objective as I can. So I decided that the early introduction to this entry should be done by someone that is more then qualified to comment on a topic of this magnatude. The best person to contribute to something like this would obviously be a black women. Due to privacy I will not list the personal reasons why this particular black woman that I chose is the perfect black woman to write this introduction. However, after reading the following words I believe that everyone not just black women will whole heartedly identify and imbibe the strong feelings that are behind the words that are written. As a man it may be hard to be completely objective in my commnentary. By adding some balance by having a very SPECIAL black woman write to this piece, I very strongly doubt that any black woman reading this post as it unfolds will say that it is partial to black men and that it is not relevant to the struggle that black women face in America.
